Job Summary
Our client, a private jet company, is seeking a bookkeeper.
The Bookkeeper position is responsible for performing specific accounting tasks that include but are not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and data entry items delegated from the Accountant and Managers. The ideal candidate will perform these tasks accurately while maintaining a positive and productive relationship with our client's employees, vendors, and clients by personally performing these duties or through subordinate staff members.
Reports To
As a Bookkeeper you will report directly to the Accountant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management):
  • Coordinate with the client managers and personnel to ensure that the goals and objectives relating to the Accounting Department are achieved, and carried out in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely entry of all items into the Accounting programs.
  • Timely and professional response to emails and customer requests through shared Accounting email.
  • Maintaining a positive relationship with customers and vendors alike, as well as updating Accounting staff of status of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Scan and code payables into our AP system,
  • Updating and maintaining QuickBooks files and all additional resources used to complete each task.
  • Weekly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Balance fluid and item level inventories.
  • Assist with month-end reconciliation and tax preparation.
  • Maintain historical records by filing physical and digital documents.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of bookkeeping or related experience.
  • Must have knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and independently, in a high stress and fast paced environment—ability to focus during busy periods throughout the month and year.
  • Must be a highly motivated and organized, as well as have extreme attention to detail.
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
